Folders are introduced as a brand-new way to organise the dashboard. Shortcuts can be grouped together to keep the workspace clean and efficient.

• Intelligent Grouping: Shortcuts are dragged onto one another to instantly create a folder.
• Folder Management: Links are moved in and out of folders with ease. A "Back" button inside a folder facilitates returning to the main grid or removing items from the group.
• Customisable: Folders can be toggled in the Shortcut settings (enabled by default), allowing for switching between a flat grid and an organised folder structure.

Universal Shortcut Reordering

Complete control is provided over the placement of shortcuts within the dashboard grid.

• Drag-and-Drop: Drag-and-drop reordering is enabled for all shortcuts across the entire grid—including folders.
• Manual Control: Previously, shortcuts were fixed by their creation date. Now, manual placement allows for a highly tailored navigation experience.

Advanced Settings & Portability

New tools have been introduced to manage Neo Page data with greater control.

• Import & Export: Preferences, shortcuts, and countdowns can be exported to a JSON file. This allows for effortless backups or transferring setups to new browsers.
• Master Reset: A reset button allows for reverting all settings, shortcuts, and search engine preferences to defaults instantly.
• Advanced Panel: A dedicated "Advanced Settings" section houses these maintenance features.

UI & Navigation Polish

Refinements to settings navigation enhance the daily user experience.

• Simplified Navigation: Transitioning between display, search, and shortcut settings is more intuitive and smooth.
• UI Overhaul: A comprehensive UI overhaul has been performed on several elements throughout the Neo Page interface. The aesthetic is now more circular and sleek, moving away from traditional glowy and boxy designs.
• Refined Overlays: The previous popup interface for editing shortcuts is replaced by a neat and integrated overlay for a more seamless experience.

Notice for Microsoft Edge Users

Due to the Microsoft Edge Add-ons manual approval process, the latest updates may take longer to reach Edge users compared to other platforms.

• Immediate Access: To receive latest features without any delay, Neo Page can be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store.
• Microsoft Addons: Updates will still be pushed to Microsoft Edge Add-ons but take some time to be approved by the store.
• Auto-Updates: Users across all browsers are advised to keep the "Auto-update" setting enabled for the extension. This ensures that the latest updates arrive at the earliest possible time without the need for manual intervention.

• Pastel Series: Pastel Green, Pastel Yellow, Pastel Blue, and Pastel Pink for a softer visual experience.

• Minimalist Pencil Icon: The settings trigger icon is semi-transparent by default, revealing full opacity only when hovered. It recedes into the background when not in use.
• Signature Purple Accent: The core UI accent color across the settings panel is a refined purple, aligning with the premium design language.

AI & New Search Engines

• New Search Engines: ChatGPT, LeChat, Proton, Qwen, and Google Images are natively integrated.
• AI Badge Identifier: AI-based search engines feature an AI badge in the UI to distinguish them from traditional indexers.
• Slash Commands: Typing / followed by an engine name (e.g., /chatgpt) in the search box allows for instant engine switching.
• ChatGPT Integration: If logged out, queries execute a standard search. If logged in, queries are routed directly to the ChatGPT message box for seamless communication.

• Top Sites Integration: The automated Top Sites protocol dynamically fetches frequently visited endpoints and maps them as shortcuts.
• Event Countdown Widget: A dynamic countdown to specific events or milestones is available within the Date & Time cluster.

Aesthetics respond intelligently to the broader system theme.

• Dynamic Switching: Auto Mode dynamically switches themes based on OS preferences. Light mode transitions to Dark mode, and Monochrome shifts to Super Black as the OS theme changes.

The search bar allows for customized information retrieval by enabling instant toggling between powerful engines.

• Google: The default search provider, offering universal indexing.
• Grok: An integrated AI assistant for conversational reasoning and deep logic queries.
• DuckDuckGo & Brave: Designed for privacy-focused use with zero-tracking results.

Flexible UI Toggles: Controls for the search container's visual footprint allow for showing only the minimal engine icon or both the icon and name. Icon placement is adjustable to the left or right of the bar.

Quick Switch: Clicking the active search engine icon inside the bar allows for rapid cycling between engines.

Intelligent Memory: Up to 3 favorite search engines can be selected in settings for quick access. The last used engine becomes the default automatically.

Smart Greetings & Weather

A welcoming dashboard designed around environmental progression.

• Adaptive Greetings: Time-sensitive welcome messages shift to match the local cycle (Morning, Afternoon, Evening).
• Nickname Generation: Playful, stylistic nicknames are randomly selected and cached locally.

• Live Weather Module: An optional weather cluster fetches active local temperature mapping using local browser data.

• Immediate Access: The extension includes 7 optimized default sites. These can be edited or deleted directly from the dashboard.
• Native Bookmarks Override: A toggle in settings allows for rendering native browser bookmarks instead of self-built shortcuts.
• Grid Display Mechanics: UI density is adjustable, with options to render 8 or 16 favorites.
• Clean Wrapping Physics: The 8-slot array uses a 2-row wrap for structural separation. The 16-slot array uses 2 dense horizontal rows. All mapping is saved locally.
